This Week on Tech Talk Radio

Monday February 20, 2012

This week on the show, the big supermarket chains step up to the mark - technologically speaking, putting the power of grocery buying into the palm of your hand. As we suspected, the Optus victory over the AFL and NRL seems short lived as Australia's Federal court gears up for an appeal. Telstra offers up a new range of international data roaming caps, and I hope you're sitting down because for $1800AUD, you'll receive a massive 976.6 Mb which has included value of $15,000. Yes, you heard correct, $1800 for a gig - and it doesn't roll over.

Also this week, there's another nail in the coffin for the Blackberry. There's Twitter news, Apple news, tech protests across Europe and Vodafone lost an embarrassing amount of customers in 2011.

Adam Turner has a Spotty view from the couch, Leena has the latest in gaming news, there's the gadget, website and odd spot of the week as well that must have app of the week for your smart phone or iGadget

Meet the Tech Talk Radio team

We're not what you'd call geeks or nerds, just passionate users of today's technology in our personal and professional lives. Check out all the team!

Join Andrew McColm & Dr. Ron along with our regulars, Mark Diggins and Graeme Callaghan. Leena Van Deventer is our newest recruit and brings a thorough understanding of gaming to the panel. When asked Mac or PC, she responded Mac! (that's nearly 3 all!)

Also a regular contributor Adam Turner (freelance writer for the age and SMH) has his view from the couch each week, and our US correspondent is Lidija Davis who reports regularly from Silicon Valley California.

We're not too tech Our target market is consumers, who are keen to make sense of current tech news, along with mums and dads who just want to know what the kids are up to, or what to buy that tech savvy person in their life for their next gift. There's a touch of politics, mixed with a blend of consumer awareness and humor.
